Frequently Asked Questions

General FAQs

General FAQs
1. What is Pitstop Divers?
Pitstop Divers is a specialized store for diving equipment, spare parts, components and accessories. Our goal is to make it easier to source products and spare parts from different brands, including technical components that can be difficult to find through conventional sales channels.
2. Who is Pitstop Divers for?

Pitstop Divers serves both individual customers and diving industry professionals. We work particularly with diving centres, dive shops, diving schools, instructors and other professional operators, while also providing dedicated B2B access for approved Business customers.

3. Do I need to create an account to place an order?

Yes. You need to create a Pitstop Divers account before making a purchase. Your account allows you to manage your details, view your orders and access our support services more easily.

4. Which countries do you ship to?

Pitstop Divers currently sells and ships to countries within the European Union. Available delivery options and applicable shipping costs are shown during the purchasing process.

5. Are all products shown on the website immediately available?

We take reasonable care to keep product availability information up to date, but availability may change. Some products or spare parts may require additional sourcing time. If an item becomes unavailable after an order has been placed, we will contact you to discuss the most appropriate solution.

6. Do you sell both original and compatible spare parts?

Yes. Pitstop Divers may offer both original spare parts and compatible aftermarket parts. When a product is aftermarket, it is identified as such and should not be considered an original spare part manufactured by the equipment manufacturer.

7. How can I check whether a spare part is compatible with my equipment?

Carefully check the brand, model, version and, where necessary, serial number or other technical specifications shown on the product page. If you are unsure, we recommend contacting us through the Customer Support Hub before purchasing and providing all available information about your equipment.

8. Can you help me find a spare part that is not listed on the website?

Yes. Sourcing spare parts and components is an important part of the Pitstop Divers service. If you cannot find what you need, submit a request through the Customer Support Hub and provide the brand, model, required component and any available technical information. We cannot guarantee that every spare part can be sourced, but we will check the available options.

9. Can I install a spare part purchased from Pitstop Divers myself?

It depends on the component and the equipment. Some spare parts may be replaced by the user where this is permitted by the manufacturer. Components requiring technical disassembly, adjustment, calibration, pressure testing or work on safety-critical systems should be installed and checked by appropriately qualified personnel.

10. Which payment methods do you accept?

Available payment methods are displayed during checkout. Pitstop Divers accepts major credit and debit cards supported by our payment system, Apple Pay and Google Pay where available, as well as bank transfers under the applicable conditions.

11. How can I check the status of my order?

Information about your order is available through your Pitstop Divers account. Where tracking is available for the selected shipping method, you will also receive the information needed to follow your delivery.

12. How can I contact Pitstop Divers for support?

You can use our Customer Support Hub and select the category that best matches your request. This helps us direct your ticket to the appropriate support area and handle your request more efficiently.

13. What should I do if I have a problem with an order or product?

Submit a ticket through the Customer Support Hub, select the most appropriate category and provide your order number where available. Include a clear description of the issue and, where useful, photographs or other information that may help us assess your request.

14. Where can I find detailed information about shipping, returns, payments and warranties?

Dedicated pages are available for Shipping & Delivery, Returns & Refunds, Payment Methods and Warranty & Repairs. Our FAQs provide quick answers, while these dedicated pages contain more detailed information and applicable conditions.

Consumer FAQs

Consumer FAQs

1. When is a purchase considered a Consumer purchase?

A purchase is considered a Consumer purchase when an individual buys products for personal purposes rather than as part of a commercial or professional activity. The classification therefore depends on the nature of the purchase and not simply on the type of product being purchased.

2. Do prices shown to Consumer customers include VAT?

Yes. Prices intended for Consumer customers are shown inclusive of VAT. If, due to a particular configuration or type of product, the displayed price requires additional tax clarification, this information will be clearly provided before purchase.

3. Can I return a product if I change my mind?

Where the right of withdrawal under applicable EU distance-selling rules applies, Consumers may notify us of their decision to withdraw within 14 days of delivery, subject to the exceptions provided by law. Before returning a product, you must follow the procedure set out in our Returns & Refunds policy and request return authorization where required.

4. Can all products be returned within 14 days?

No. The right of withdrawal is subject to certain legal exceptions. For example, restrictions may apply to products made or ordered to the customer’s specifications and to other categories excluded under applicable law. Full conditions are available in our Returns & Refunds policy.

5. How do I request authorisation for a return?

Submit a ticket through the Customer Support Hub and select Return Authorization Request. Provide your order number, the product concerned and the reason for your request. We will provide the information you need to proceed correctly.

6. Do I have to pay the shipping costs for a return?

It depends on the reason for the return. Where you are simply exercising your right of withdrawal, the direct cost of returning the goods may be your responsibility, as explained in our applicable terms. If the product is incorrect, damaged or non-conforming, return costs will be handled according to the nature of the issue and your rights under applicable law.

7. What should I do if I receive a damaged product?

Contact us through the Customer Support Hub as soon as possible, provide your order number and describe the issue. Where useful, include photographs of the product and its packaging. This helps us assess what happened more quickly and advise you on how to proceed.

8. What happens if I receive a different product from the one I ordered?

Submit a support request with your order number and details of the product you received. Once we have reviewed the situation, we will provide the appropriate return instructions and arrange a replacement or other applicable solution, without affecting your statutory Consumer rights.

9. What should I do if a product is defective or does not work properly?

Do not continue using the product if the defect could affect its safety. Contact Pitstop Divers through the Customer Support Hub and provide your order number, a description of the problem and, where possible, photographs or other useful information. We will assess the request based on the product, the nature of the issue and the applicable warranty and Consumer rights.

10. Are products purchased by Consumers covered by a legal guarantee?

Yes, where applicable. Purchases made by Consumers within the European Union benefit from the protections provided by applicable law concerning the conformity of goods. Any commercial warranty offered by the manufacturer is additional to your statutory rights and does not replace them.

11. Does the warranty cover every type of damage?

No. A warranty does not provide cover against every type of damage. Issues resulting, for example, from normal wear and tear, improper use, accidents, incorrect maintenance or inappropriate servicing may be treated differently from a lack of conformity. Each request is assessed according to the circumstances and the rights available under applicable law.

12. Can I return a spare part after it has been installed or used?

It depends on the circumstances. Installing or using a spare part may affect your ability to return it, particularly where the product shows signs of use or has been altered. This does not remove any Consumer rights that may apply if the product is defective or non-conforming. If you are unsure about compatibility, we recommend contacting us before installation.

13. When will I receive my refund after a return?

Refunds are processed according to the procedure and time limits applicable to the type of return. In the case of withdrawal, refunds are made within the time limits required by applicable law; where permitted, the refund may be withheld until the returned goods are received or until the Consumer provides evidence that they have been sent back. For specific enquiries, you can use the Refund Support category in the Customer Support Hub.

14. Will my refund be issued using the same payment method?

Refunds are normally issued using the same payment method used for the original transaction, unless otherwise agreed or where this is not technically possible. For payments made by bank transfer, we may require the information necessary to process the refund.

15. What should I do if my order arrives incomplete?

Contact us through the Customer Support Hub and provide your order number and details of the items you believe are missing. Before submitting a ticket, please check any communications you have received from us, as an order may sometimes be divided into multiple shipments.

16. What should I do if my parcel arrives visibly damaged?

Where possible, report the visible damage to the carrier at the time of delivery and keep the packaging. Take photographs of the parcel before opening it and, if the contents are also damaged, document the condition of the product. Then contact Pitstop Divers through the Customer Support Hub and provide your order number and the available information.

17. Can I request support after my order has been delivered?

Yes. The Customer Support Hub can also be used after delivery for enquiries relating to returns, refunds, products, warranties, repairs or other after-sales issues. Selecting the appropriate support category helps us handle your request more efficiently.

Business / B2B FAQs

Business / B2B FAQs

1. Who can apply for a Pitstop Divers B2B account?

B2B access is intended for diving centres, dive shops, diving schools, freediving centres, mermaiding operators, instructors and other professionals or businesses operating within the diving industry and related activities. Each application is reviewed before B2B access is activated.

2. Does registering a Business account automatically activate B2B pricing?

No. Entering your business details during registration does not automatically activate access to B2B pricing. A new account remains subject to the standard conditions available on the website until Pitstop Divers expressly approves B2B activation.

3. How can I request B2B activation?

After creating your account, submit a request through the Customer Support Hub and select B2B Activation. Your request should refer to the registered account and include sufficient information to identify your professional or business activity.

4. What information may be required to verify a B2B account?

Pitstop Divers may request information or documentation reasonably necessary to verify the applicant’s professional or business activity. Depending on the circumstances, this may include business details, VAT number, information about the activity carried out or other relevant documentation. Verification is carried out solely for the purpose of assessing and managing B2B access.

5. Is B2B activation automatic after I submit my request?

No. Submitting a request does not guarantee activation. Pitstop Divers reviews the information provided and may request additional information before approving the account. Access to B2B pricing and conditions becomes available only after the account has been approved.

6. Can I place an order while my B2B application is being reviewed?

Yes. However, until B2B access is activated, your account will be handled under the standard conditions available on the website. Business details entered in your account may be used for the correct issuing of order documentation, but they do not automatically entitle you to B2B pricing.

7. Will an order placed before B2B activation be recalculated afterwards?

No. B2B activation applies to purchases made after the account has been approved and does not automatically result in the recalculation, credit or refund of any difference relating to orders already completed under the conditions applicable at the time of purchase.

8. How are prices displayed for an approved B2B account?

Once B2B access has been activated, your account may display the applicable professional pricing for products where B2B conditions are available. Unless otherwise stated, B2B prices are displayed excluding VAT. The final VAT treatment is determined according to the customer’s details, the transaction and the applicable VAT rules.

9. Does B2B activation mean that all my purchases will automatically be VAT-free?

No. B2B pricing excluding VAT and the VAT treatment of a transaction are separate matters. Whether VAT is charged depends on the requirements of the applicable tax rules, including, where relevant, the validity of the VAT number and the destination of the goods.

10. How is a VAT number verified for intra-EU transactions?

Where necessary, Pitstop Divers may verify the validity of the VAT number provided by the customer using available official systems, including VIES for intra-EU VAT registrations. If the VAT number is not valid for the relevant transaction, the VAT treatment required by applicable law will be applied.

11. Are B2B prices the same for all products?

Not necessarily. Professional conditions may vary depending on the product, brand, category, availability, quantity and applicable commercial conditions. B2B activation provides access to the professional conditions available for the account but does not imply a uniform discount percentage across the entire catalogue.

12. Is there a minimum order quantity to access B2B pricing?

Any minimum quantity, minimum pack size or specific commercial condition will be indicated where applicable to the relevant product or offer. Pitstop Divers does not automatically apply the same minimum order requirement to every product.

13. Can I request a quotation for larger quantities or a specific professional order?

Yes. For significant quantities, supplies for diving centres, schools, shops or other professional requirements, contact Pitstop Divers through the Customer Support Hub and select Business Support. Availability and commercial conditions will be assessed according to the products and quantities requested.

14. Can Pitstop Divers help me source technical spare parts for my diving centre or shop?

Yes. Spare parts sourcing is a core part of the Pitstop Divers B2B service. If a component is not listed in our catalogue, you can submit a request specifying at least the brand, model, required component, quantity and all available technical information. Where relevant, we also recommend providing the part number, equipment version and serial number.

15. Can I submit a list of multiple spare parts or components for sourcing?

Yes. Professional customers may submit a request containing multiple items. To speed up the verification process, we recommend organising the list by providing the brand, model, part number where available, description and required quantity for each component. Complete information helps reduce the risk of errors when identifying spare parts.

17. Can I request an aftermarket spare part instead of an original part?

Yes, where a compatible alternative is available. Pitstop Divers distinguishes, where applicable, between original spare parts and compatible aftermarket parts. An aftermarket component is not presented as an original product manufactured by the equipment manufacturer.

18. How should I handle an order when technical compatibility depends on the

equipment version or serial number?
Do not rely solely on the appearance of the component. For equipment that has undergone production revisions or uses different components depending on the version, verify the part number, model, version and, where necessary, serial number. If you are unsure, provide this information to Pitstop Divers before ordering or installing the component.

19. Does Pitstop Divers provide technical support to identify a component?

We can assist with the commercial and technical identification of a component based on the information available. This service does not replace maintenance, diagnostics, servicing, overhaul or certification procedures that must be performed by appropriately qualified technicians where required by the manufacturer or by the nature of the equipment.

20. Does a B2B account automatically authorise me to purchase or install any technical component?

No. B2B access identifies a professional customer and provides access to the relevant commercial conditions, but it does not constitute technical certification or authorization to perform work requiring specific qualifications, training, tools, procedures or authorizations.

21. Can I purchase spare parts intended for safety-critical equipment?

The availability of a component for sale does not alter the technical requirements for its correct installation and verification. Components intended for safety-critical equipment or systems must be installed, adjusted, tested and returned to service in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications and by appropriately qualified personnel where required.

22. Does Pitstop Divers offer specific payment terms to B2B customers?

The available payment methods are those shown in the customer’s account, during checkout or in any commercial terms separately agreed with the customer. B2B activation does not automatically provide entitlement to deferred payment, a credit facility or customised payment terms.

23. Can I request dedicated commercial payment terms?

Any commercial terms that differ from the standard conditions must be agreed in advance and approved by Pitstop Divers. Having a B2B account or having placed previous orders does not automatically entitle a customer to credit facilities or deferred payment terms.

24. How are invoices and business details handled for B2B orders?

Order documentation is issued using the business details stored in the customer’s account and applicable to the transaction. The customer is responsible for ensuring that the business name, address, VAT number and other billing information are correct and up to date before completing the order.

25. What should I do if my business details or VAT number change?

Update your account details and, where the change affects information used for B2B verification or VAT treatment, contact Pitstop Divers through the Customer Support Hub. Pitstop Divers may require renewed verification before certain B2B conditions can continue to be applied.

26. Does B2B access remain active permanently?

B2B access remains associated with the account for as long as the applicable requirements continue to be met. Pitstop Divers may request updated information or renewed verification where necessary, for example following changes to business details, information that is no longer valid or other circumstances relevant to the account’s B2B eligibility.

27. Which support channel should I use for a B2B commercial request?

For enquiries relating to supplies, quantities, availability, sourcing or other professional commercial requirements, use the Customer Support Hub and select Business Support. To request B2B account access, use the dedicated B2B Activation category.
