Shipping Across Malta and the European Union

Pitstop Divers ships diving equipment, accessories, spare parts and professional supplies throughout Malta and the European Union.

Shipping methods may vary depending on the destination, product availability, weight, volume, quantity and specific logistical requirements of each order.

We work with established national and international carriers selected according to the destination, type of goods and services available in the delivery area. Therefore, the carrier may vary from one shipment to another.

Free Standard Shipping

Standard shipping is free throughout Malta.

For orders delivered to other European Union countries, standard shipping is free when the order value reaches at least €500.00 excluding VAT.

For orders below this threshold, shipping charges may apply according to the destination and characteristics of the order.

Free shipping applies only to orders that can be handled through the standard delivery services used by Pitstop Divers.

Order Preparation and Delivery Times

Preparation and delivery times depend primarily on stock availability, order composition and destination.

As a general indication, the complete preparation and shipping process requires no less than 10 working days.

Some orders may require additional time, particularly when they include products that are not immediately available, specific spare parts, multiple supplies or equipment intended for professional use.

Any delivery times provided should therefore be considered estimates rather than guaranteed deadlines, unless Pitstop Divers expressly confirms otherwise.

Special Shipments

Some orders may require transportation methods different from standard shipping, regardless of their total value.

Weight, volume, product quantity, pallet requirements, the nature of the goods or other logistical considerations may require a dedicated freight service.

In these cases, the order, or the relevant part of the order, will be treated as a special shipment and will not qualify for free standard shipping.

This condition applies to deliveries within Malta as well as shipments to other European Union countries.

Heavy, Bulky and Palletized Goods

Compressors, large mechanical components, substantial quantities of diving equipment, diving weights and other products that cannot be handled through standard parcel services may require pallet transport, freight services or other dedicated logistics.

A special shipment is not determined solely by the dimensions of an individual product. An order containing relatively compact products may still require dedicated transport when its total weight or quantity exceeds the conditions suitable for standard shipping.

Before arranging a special shipment, Pitstop Divers will provide the customer with an estimate of the applicable transportation costs.

The shipment will be arranged after the customer accepts the communicated conditions.

Orders Requiring Mixed Shipping

A single order may contain products suitable for standard delivery together with items requiring dedicated logistics.

In these situations, Pitstop Divers may arrange separate shipments.

The part of the order eligible for standard shipping will retain the applicable delivery conditions, including free shipping when the relevant requirements are met.

Products requiring pallet transport, freight services or other dedicated shipping methods will be handled separately. Any additional transportation costs will be communicated to the customer before the special shipment is arranged.

This approach allows products requiring special transportation to be handled separately without necessarily changing the shipping conditions applicable to the remaining items in the order.

Professional and B2B Orders

Pitstop Divers supports dive centers, diving schools, dive shops, clubs and associations with professional orders and equipment supplies.

B2B orders may include larger quantities, multiple product categories, spare parts, training or rental equipment and components required for professional diving operations.

When necessary, we can evaluate a dedicated logistics solution based on the destination, total weight, volume and overall composition of the order.

For large professional orders or supplies with specific transportation requirements, we recommend contacting Pitstop Divers before completing your purchase.

Customs Duties, Taxes and Import Charges

If a shipment is subject to customs duties, import taxes, customs clearance fees or other charges imposed by the competent authorities or organizations of the destination country or territory, these costs are the responsibility of the recipient.

Pitstop Divers does not control the application of customs duties, import taxes or customs clearance charges imposed by the relevant authorities.

The recipient is responsible for checking any applicable obligations, taxes or charges for the destination before placing an order.

Delivery Delays

Delivery may occasionally be affected by circumstances beyond the control of Pitstop Divers.

Carrier disruptions, public holidays, adverse weather conditions, periods of unusually high shipping volumes or other exceptional circumstances may affect estimated delivery times.

In the event of a significant delay, customers may contact Pitstop Divers to request available information regarding the status of their shipment.

Checking Your Shipment on Delivery

We recommend checking the external condition of the packaging when your order is delivered.

If a parcel shows visible damage, openings, deformation or other obvious irregularities, report them to the carrier immediately and, whenever possible, take photographs of the packaging.

If products are damaged, missing or there are other issues with the received order, contact Pitstop Divers and provide your order number. When necessary, include photographs of the packaging and the affected products.

Keeping the original packaging may also be useful while the issue is being reviewed.
