The PADI Master Freediver course is divided into three main phases, carefully designed to provide you with a comprehensive and professional education:
1. Advanced Theory Development
You’ll cover essential topics for advanced freedivers, including nutrition, relaxation techniques, and advanced breathing methods. You can study independently using the **PADI Freediver Touch™** or participate in instructor-led classroom sessions. Additionally, you’ll undertake a research assignment to deepen your knowledge on key topics for Master Freedivers, promoting a mindful and scientific approach to the discipline.
2. Confined Water Sessions
In this phase, you’ll focus on improving your static and dynamic apnea skills. Through targeted exercises, you’ll aim to achieve a static apnea time of at least 3 minutes and 30 seconds and a dynamic apnea distance of 70 meters (230 feet). You’ll also have the opportunity to experience dynamic apnea without fins, enhancing your body control and oxygen management.
3. Open Water Sessions
This phase is dedicated to practicing advanced equalization using the Frenzel method, essential for deeper dives. Warm-up and control dives will prepare you to reach the **goal of a constant weight freedive to 32 meters (105 feet)**. These sessions will help you build confidence and skills for deep diving, solidifying your profile as an experienced freediver.
