How to Become a PADI Freediver Instructor:
There are two pathways available:
1. Freediver Instructor Training Course: For experienced freedivers who want to develop teaching skills.
2. Freediver Instructor Orientation: Ideal for trained freediving instructors who want to join the PADI organization.
Requirements:
To enroll in the course, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old;
- Hold a PADI Master Freediver certification (or an equivalent);
- Be certified as an Emergency First Response Instructor (or equivalent first aid instructor);
- Have a recent medical statement signed by a doctor within the past 12 months.
If you’re already a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor (or higher) with an Advanced Freediver certification, you can directly access the Freediver Instructor Training Course.
