Course Description
The PADI Emergency Oxygen Provider course, offered and promoted by Underwater Academy Europe, will equip you with the necessary skills to correctly administer oxygen in emergency situations. You will acquire vital skills that could enable you to save lives in the event of diving accidents.
Course Programme
The PADI Emergency Oxygen Provider programme includes:
- Recognition of diving-related illnesses: Learn to identify conditions that require emergency oxygen therapy.
- Emergency oxygen kit equipment: Familiarise yourself with the various components and types of equipment needed for oxygen administration.
- Equipment preparation: Receive instruction on how to properly prepare the oxygen kit.
- Use of masks: Learn to use the non-rebreather mask and demand valve for both breathing and non-breathing victims.
Course Structure
The PADI Emergency Oxygen Provider experience consists of three main phases:
1. Individual study and classroom sessions: Theoretical learning and knowledge development.
2. Practical workshop: Preparation and management of the emergency oxygen kit.
3. Practical exercises: Oxygen administration practice in simulated scenarios.
Prerequisites
The course is open to anyone interested in learning how to provide first aid with oxygen therapy in aquatic accident situations.
Certification
Upon completion of the course, you will receive the PADI Emergency Oxygen Provider Specialty certification. In some regions, this certification is essential for administering oxygen in first aid situations.
