Academic Path
The first important things you will learn include how to gather information and resources and how to carefully plan the subsequent search.
During four dives, you will practice:
- Search patterns using a compass and natural navigation
- Locating large and small objects using various search patterns
- Using a lift bag for large and small objects, as well as other recovery methods
- Planning a search operation based on information collected before the dive
By completing the Search and Recovery course, you can earn academic credits. Contact us for more information about this opportunity.
Additionally, the first dive of this PADI Specialty Diver course can be credited as an Adventure Dive towards your Advanced Open Water Diver certification—ask your instructor how to obtain the credit.
